The bird table that Whitworth Men’s Shed made for the Friends of Whitworth Library, was recently installed by Lancashire County Council, and doesn’t it look good?
The table was built to complement the three large box planters that have already been provided and can be seen planted up outside the front of the Library building.
Val and Sue from FOWLG said, “We’re delighted with the way the boxes and table look so smart. The guy from LCC was similarly impressed!”
Whitworth Men’s Shed would like to thank Northern Joinery for providing the wood. Rossendale Borough Council provided the compost, and Anglo Recycling provided the plastic to line the planters.
Particular thanks also go to Shed members Ken and Simon, who did a lot of work for the project. Well done guys, great job!
